Welcome to Kaltegarden.

Kaltegarden is a small, family-run flower and vegetable farm in the stunning landscape of Norddal.

Once home to the local priest, this historic farm dates back to the 17th century. Today, we, Nils and Christin, cultivate the land with care, passion and respect for nature.

Natural.

We follow regenerative farming principles, growing both our vegetables and flowers without chemical pesticides and working only with hand tools and small-scale techniques inspired by market gardening.

We have unheated greenhouses to extend the season, resulting in long-lasting, beautiful flowers from Mai until October.

Sustainable.

Sustainability is at the heart of our farm. Our flowers support biodiversity and attract pollinators. We even have our own bees. We use crop rotation, no-till methods, and organic practices.

Instead of disturbing the soil, we nurture it, creating a natural cycle with compost and organic fertilizers. With around 100 flower varieties, every step is done with care and only by ourselves.

Locally
grown.

We offer a fresh and natural, hand-harvested alternative to the usual mass products. Locally grown, unique blooms that change with the seasons, directly from grower to customer.
From wildflowers in spring to a big colorful palette in summer and autumn and dried flowers for winter.

You can contact us for weddings, events and special occasions in Geiranger, Valldal, Ålesund and other places in Møre og Romsdal.
