This is Christin, the face behind Kaltegarden. Together with her partner, she founded the business in 2021 to turn their passion for growing, creating, and working with nature into something real. Today, Christin takes care of the farm, from planting, harvesting and designing floral arrangements to managing farm logistics and communication
Both of us are actually trained occupational therapists, but our true passion was always gardening. Our expertise comes from many years of hands-on experience in various gardens. Christin’s background includes therapeutic gardening and floristry. She has worked with people experiencing mental health challenges in both vegetable and flower gardens, supporting them in growing and caring for plants. As part of her work as a therapist, she helped them create a variety of floral arrangements and projects, combining creativity with the healing power of nature. Along the way, I have learned through different courses, workshops, internships and plenty of reading about floristry and gardening techniques.
When we decided to work with nature, it was clear to us that we wanted to do so in a way that honors and respects the environment. That’s why we work according to regenerative principles, using no chemicals on our plants.
Our goal is to create meaningful connections with our community and sharing our passion for vegetables and flowers with those who appreciate the beauty and the taste of nature
